Experience & Activities

Professor Oyedotun has had years of international academic exposure and training cutting across diverse academic and research fields, principally in different fields of geography, quantitative and spatial analyses, geographic information systems (GIS), fluvial, estuarine and coastal environments, and waste management respectively. He has published extensively in these areas of academic exposure. Professor Oyedotun holds a PhD in Geography from University College London (UCL) UK, an MSc in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Leeds, UK; an MSc in Geography (Hydrology Option) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and a Bachelor of Science in Geography (First Class Honours) from AAUA, Nigeria. He has also had numerous professional training and short course certificates from the Ruhr University of Bochum, Germany; UCL Centre for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching, London, UK; National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Hunstville, Alabama, USA; Committee of Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS) Brazil, among others. Similarly, Temitope has been a beneficiary of several local and international scholarships, fellowships and grants in the last few years. His ongoing research is on short-term rivermouth morphodynamics on the mud-dominated coast of Guyana, this is in addition to his support for assembling and archiving the necessary coastal datasets for Guyana’s coastal-marine-catchment environment.
